It’s that time of year where we start gearing up for the spirit of the holiday season. And there isn’t a better way to do that than grabbing a fun pattern, beautiful fabrics and a few of your best quilty buddies to do a sew-along! I love doing sew-alongs for several reasons. Mostly because I get to do something with people I enjoy. I love this community so much and I especially enjoy being cheered on as I work through a project.
This year, I chose Lella Boutique’s pattern “Wrap It Up”. I saw this in person at Quilt Market in Houston in 2024 when I met Vanessa. I could NOT stop staring at these blocks. There was something about the playful way the blocks tossed on the quilt and the ribbons flowed down the packages. It was such a unique twist on the traditional gift package blocks I had seen in the past. I knew it had to be in the running for a Sew-Along because I wanted to sew it!
I’ve made a schedule for us to follow, but you do NOT have to do what I do! I do this so I can stay on track and not have another WIP at the end of the season! I like having a plan and I hope this helps you, too! I break this out in a few simple steps and hope this gives you a roadmap for accomplishing a beautiful holiday quilt in time for the mad rush of quilting.
If you need it long-armed, please reach out to me and I’ll do my best to work you into the queue! If you bought a kit from my sweet friend Jennifer at The Sewing House in Collierville, TN, then you will get 10% off of your long-arming services! She is providing a list of those of you who purchased, so no need to supply a receipt! If you did NOT buy from her, that’s OK too! I’m still happy to work your quilt into the queue. And there will be a special coupon for you when you send your NEXT quilt!
If you did not get a kit, these are the fabric requirements!

OK now onto the schedule! Download and print your schedule to keep it handy with your quilting supplies for this project.
